Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) crushed Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) from stern to stem in his statement win, scoring a knockdown in the third round and two more in the seventh before stepping it up even further in the final frame.

Brook (39-2, 27 KOs) has won three consecutive fights since losing back-to-back bouts against Gennadiy Golovkin in 2016 and Spence in 2017, including an impressive seventh-round KO of Mark DeLuca in February at junior middleweight. Spence hasn't fought as a welterweight since the fight against Spence.

Crawford dropped Spence again twice in round seven and it was all-but over. With celebrities such as Chris Brown, Damian Lillard, Shannon Sharpe, Chance the Rapper and others pulling their phones out to capture the finish, Crawford took his time and tortured Spence with potshots.

Spence Jr has a ‘big fish’ tattoo and has referred to himself as a shark throughout his career, something that Crawford tapped into during the second press conference for their long-awaited 29 July bout.
